up early
I discovered last week that I am the only Seattle based instructor who does not take something to help them sleep the night before they have to make the trip over. I probably should though, since I don't sleep well at all and wake up hourly to see if it is time to get up. (This is a problem since I am teaching four days this semester....)
This morning I was wide awake at 4:30-am, and since that is when I get up to catch the early ferry in, I figured I might as well get going on my day.
Today is computer 1. It is a weird mix of people who are studying hard, and people who haven't bought the book yet and listen to their iPods during the demos. Part of the problem with the people who have tuned me out is they feel like the already know it all. The problem is, they don't really, and I am teaching problem solving skills as much as "push this button to make it do that" skills.
When I realized yesterday that I had to teach today, my stomach clenched so hard I almost threw-up. Not a good sign. I shouldn't be burning out this early in the semester even with my work load.
We are making the turn into Eagle Harbor, so off I go...

I've been having some work-related issues as well. I'm trying to remember the last time I got out of bed and looked forward to going to work rather than dreading it. There are so many other things I'd rather be doing right now.
If you find a solution to your work situation, let me know... I may borrow your remedy.

That is all I have been able to come up with so far. :-p

I will, of course, continue to seek a non-lottery way out of my rut. :-)

Maybe Kent has gotten you some sort of Malaise stomping something or other to celebrate the day.
