The first snow of the year at the Kitten Ranch

It really did snow today! They let us go home early from school today (though for me that meant I got to go wait an hour for the ferry, but even that was fun watching the snow come down) so I got home while it was still light out and took some pictures of the house in the snow. Not exactly the enveloping blanket that make snow so wonderful, but it was still really fun!

Those are groovy pics. We *still* haven't gotten snow in NYC, though I'm going to the Catskills for chorus retreat today and snow is expected *there* this weekend.

it seems like a lot of places that usually have snow don't yet this year.
