Live blogging the Notary Event
7:20
We have a small crowd of people. This is deffinately a happy event. Everyone is all smiles. I have my computer here to fill out forms for people who filled theirs out by hand (the state wants them filled out on the computer.) I just filled out forms for a 20 something lesbian couple who brought an entire wedding party with them including one of the girls mothers.

All four notaries are busy now and there is a line. People are staying to chat and visit. Lots of people brought a friend to take pictures of them signing. I had thought of hiring an event photographer, but the event grew in size a little too quickly for me to figure out how to do that.
The cupcakes are a hit. Especially with all the kids.

We just finished a demo tip. It is really muggy and hot in here...it didn't seem this hot before the tip. There is a greasy spot in the floor and a couple people fell before we moved the square. No takers for a beginners tip though.
There is a lull in the action right now. Only one couple getting notarized. Ron and I will try to take advantage of the break in the action to get ours notarized.
Ron has frosting in his mustache again. I can see it clear across the room. Be right back.

We got some people up for a demo. It was fun. Both couples had one enthusiastic partner and one who had to be drug into the square.
The crowd has thinned way out. Couples are coming through the door one at a time now so there is no waiting. We got a lot of people, but there will be a lot of cupcakes left over. No media presence. We sent press releases, as did one of the civil rights groups we told about the event. There must be something more exciting happening someplace else.

Home. Tired. Will wrap things up tomorrow.
