Its raining on prom night....

It's raining. This is not a surprise. I live in Seattle and all. But it isn't just raining. It is raining still.

Now don't get me wrong. I love rain. Really. But is more correct to say I love weather. That is the great thing about the Northwest. You wake up to sunshine, go to work in the rain, there is a windstorm during lunch followed by a sun break which turns to mist and then it is foggy on the way home. Next day, just reverse the order. Or draw the weather events from a hat. What ever order you draw them in it will likely happen sometime that week, though it may be completely different across town. The main difference between the seasons is how long the sun breaks are, and how warm the rain is. (We get a really long sun break in August....)

But when it rains and rains and rains, it is like being someplace were it is sunny all the time. Only wetter.

It can do something different now. Maybe scattered showers.

That would be a nice change!

'Scuse me, sir. What is this "rain" thing you speak of?

The Weather....

Hey it's not snow. Coming from Baltimore, that's all I care about. :)

We did have scattered showers between sun breaks on Thursday and Friday. Had a couple nice sun breaks Saturday.

:P

But, yes, I would like a bit more variety than we've been getting lately, too. On the other hand, it looks like my crocus are about the bloom. The tulips are all coming up early. The irises are putting on new growth, and the amarylis never stopped. It's weird to have all this rain and warmer than normal temperatures through what is usually the coldest part of the year.

I'm glad I did my "early spring" pruning of the roses at the end of fall this year.
