This is impressive!

The Worlds Largest Dungeon.

I never have anyone to play with, and I wouldn't have time anyway, and there is the little matter of my eyes glazing over when I pick up a book to learn anything new, but still...the kitchen table just won't do anymore.

Wow, I haven't even thought about Dungeons and Dragons in many, many years. I still have all my books and everything somewhere though, just in case. ;)

It is actually way more fun as an adult. Way more intrigue and complicated adventure and way fewer half minotaur/half dark-elf assasin ninjas.

When you had us make those board games, I brought in my 4 sided dice and suggested using those instead of normal 6 sides ones, and everyone in my group looked at me like I had 10 heads.

But then again, they couldn't figure out how to use them, so.. I didn't really care what they thought.

I'd play with you any time. :D

Though the distance might be a bitch.

We need to figure out some LJ-bears RPG online thingy. (For those of use who don't get our fix from MMORPGs but need to roll actual DICE.)

Plus, having an actual human being in charge of things makes such a huge difference.

Running a game online is a huge amount of work. I have run one for almost 10 years (we are a move or two away from the end thank goodness...) and it really takes over your life (though for most of the time, it was in a good way.)

That said, until the last few years, it was really fun and really rewarding. I always DMd in the "writting a group adventure novel" style, which seems to work well when you are not playing in real time, and we all had a great time and I ended up with friends from across the country and in Ireland.

(the website is a little broken...but all the text is there and you can still get around. We are actually in the last chapter of the last story...updating the website was the first thing to go as life got busier.)

Somehow, D&D wasn't the first thing that crossed my mind when I say The Worlds Largest Dungeon...

*blinks eyes innocently*

What else would you have thought of?

I *love* the border at the top of the walls. Very nice touch.

And yet people persist in thinking that being a D&D player precludes any skills at interior design.

Go figure.
