I talked to Ariel's oncologist and she said that the chances of another remission, especially since the second one has only been 4 months and she never really thrived, were slim. She did give us a third option, and that was to do one round of chemo just to restore some of her kidney function, then she could come home for awhile before the end. I went with that option since I did not want her to go straight from being at the vet for three days to being put to sleep.

I am so sorry to hear about your kitty. It's very sad. We'll be giving our kitties more attention in Ariel's honor. Take care of yourself.
