Update: The ultrasound was inconclusive so they are doing a...I can't remember the name. They basically stick in a hollow needle and remove some of the stuff inside to do tests on. The vet sounded vaguely hopeful. Or maybe that was my hearing.

It is some sort of biopsy. It is a "single needle..." something. I want to say "Aspirate" but that doesn't sound right.

I hope things turn out well too. I think we could beat a kidney infection.

Fine Needle Aspiration.
I had two for my thyroid cancer biopsies.
They stick the needle in 3 different areas of the tumor to collect cell samples
