House update

So, we have an offer pending on our house (they do their inspection tomorrow afternoon) and we have put an offer on the house we want.

I keep telling myself that while real estate horror stories are common, they are way, -way- outweighed by deals that just truck along with only a few minor, easy to resolve hiccups.

Hopefully, by the end of next week there will be "Sold" signs on both houses and we will be on our way to closing.

It does kind of look like that from the pictures, but the lot actually continues sloping to the south (right in the picture) and towards the back of the house. There's also a big drain next to the driveway, and the whole lot slopes toward the back of the house, so it would take a very great deal of water coming down the street to get some into the garage.
